Gaza Groups on Alert for IDF Strikes on Terror Chiefs

Terrorist groups in Gaza fear that the IDF is about to resume its targeted killings of terror leaders. Militant factions are currently on alert for Israeli efforts to collect operational intelligence. On several occasions in recent days, gunmen fired at approaching IDF drones.

Gaza’s terror chiefs are convinced that heightened Air Force activity this week is meant to prepare the ground for precision strikes, journalist Elior Levy says. The local factions are aware that the IDF is currently holding a large-scale drill, but still believe that Israel is planning one or more precision strikes.

The leaders of Islamic Jihad are particularly concerned that they will be targeted, Levy reports. The IDF believes that the Iran-controlled group is behind recent rocket attacks on southern Israel.
