Israel compiled a “monstrous” list of Hezbollah targets to attack in case of a military conflict, a high-ranking officer says. “The things that the IDF can do in Lebanon are unprecedented,” warns head of IDF intelligence research Dror Shalom.
The situation on the Lebanon border is “very volatile” at this time, Shalom told Yediot Aharonot daily in an interview. He warned that Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah could make a mistake by attacking Israel and provoking a major clash. The IDF will unquestionably win the fight, he said.
Hezbollah’s precision missile project is struggling due to overt and covert Israeli activity, the senior officer added. The group realizes that advancing this project could lead to war, he said.
