Without American involvement, the conflict may drag on for 2-3 weeks, they said. However, Israel remains confident the US will step in and attack Iran.
President Donald Trump said he’ll decide on US participation within two weeks.
Israel Hayom daily also reported that officials estimated the conflict could end in days, citing swift advances in targeting Iran’s military and nuclear infrastructure.
Since the war began seven days ago, the IDF has launched large wave of pinpoint strikes, severely damaging major nuclear sites including Natanz, Isfahan, Parchin, and the Arak heavy water reactor.
Israel also bombed smaller facilities linked to Tehran’s nuclear program and eliminated top nuclear scientists in targeted operations.
The heavily fortified Fordow enrichment site now stands as the last major target for attack. With Israel ticking off its extensive target list, the outcome hinges on President Trump’s impending decision.
