Israel fears that Iran plans to trigger an active conflict on two fronts via Hezbollah in the north and Gaza terror groups in the south, the Jerusalem Center reports.
The joint action will aim to exhaust the IDF’s strength and prevent a strike on Iran while it sprints toward a nuclear bomb, the report said, citing Arab sources. The Israeli concerns grew after Gaza terror chiefs visited Tehran last week.
Iran, Hezbollah, and Hamas are no longer afraid to take limited military action against Israel, the Institute for Policy and Strategy warned in a recent analysis.
A key factor influencing the Iran axis is the perception that US policy in the Middle East is softer under the new Administration, the report said.
