The Israeli Air Force launched a major wave of airstrikes in southwestern Iran today, targeting missile storage and launch sites, command centers, and air defense assets, according to N12 News.

The IDF later confirmed that 30 fighter jets bombed dozens of targets, including missile launchers and radar positions.

Earlier, Ynet reported that Israel’s next strategic objective is to achieve air superiority south of Tehran, an area packed with sensitive military infrastructure, and also home to the Fordow nuclear site.

As part of this push, the IDF reportedly bombed air defense radars and batteries to clear the way for follow-up operations, which are now underway.

Meanwhile, Israel is escalating its campaign of targeted assassinations inside Iran. In precision strikes, the IDF eliminated three senior Revolutionary Guards officers:

The head of Quds Force Unit 190, responsible for smuggling weapons to Iran’s terror proxies, was killed in a strike on his vehicle.

The head of the Quds Force Palestinian Division, who played a key role in arming and funding Hamas ahead of the October 7 massacre, was killed in a strike on a building in Qom.

Separately, Israel eliminated the chief of the IRGC’s drone operations force.

The latest operations underscore Israel’s effort to dismantle the IRGC’s command structure and neutralize top-tier IRGC commanders, a campaign similar to the IDF’s elimination of Hezbollah’s senior command in 2024.
