IDF Seeks Multi-Billion Budget to Boost Iran Strike Preparations

The IDF is asking the government for billions of shekels to bolster strike capabilities in Iran. The request was submitted as part of initial budget discussions with the Treasury, Kan News reports.

Israel has detected accelerated uranium enrichment activities in Iran, the report said. Jerusalem is now preparing for the possibility that world powers will fail to secure a nuclear deal with Tehran in the foreseeable future.  

In recent talks with senior US officials, Israel stressed the need to maintain its freedom to take action if and when it decides to attack Iran’s nuclear program, the report said.
